How does a solar inverter work at night?
At night, as there is no sunlight, no photons will be hitting the solar panels, which means no power will be generated by the solar panels. As no DC electricity is generated from solar panels the solar inverter has nothing to convert into AC electricity.
Can I charge a 25V battery with a microinverter?
If you try to feed a 25V solar array directly into both a 25V battery and a Microinverter in parallel, it will not work (at least not on the same way where output is limited by the DC-DC converter rather than the solar array). You could also use an AC charger to charge the 12V battery to achieve a time-shift solution without needing a solar array.
Can a microinverter power a solar array after sunset?

The Microinverter can’t draw more than 590W (actually 618W once conversion efficiency is accounted for). My SCC has a boost charging voltage of 28.8VDC, so at the maximum input current of 20A, maximum input power would be limited to 576W (and the remaining charge current of 14.7A / 423W will charge the 24V LiFePO4 battery).
